"We ran a group buying campaign for the Josie Ring and the results genuinely surprised us. Instead of spending on ads, we posted on Instagram — our customers did the rest. 8 of 10 spots filled in 8 days.
They posted "ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT" stories with product photos. Urgency + visual = free acquisition channel.
Benalor educated their audience: "You team up with lovely strangers who are also interested." Removed the biggest group buying barrier.

Free is a real plan — $0/month, every feature, no time limit and no revenue limit. Every plan is just a monthly fee plus a small share of the group buy revenue the app generates for you, capped at $500/month. Pick whichever combination is cheapest at your revenue; the numbers below are guidance, not limits, and nothing ever changes plan on its own.
At $450/mo in group buy revenue: about $18.90/mo total

Find answers to common questions about our group buying app for Shopify
Group buying is a promotional activity where customers team up with friends to unlock discounted prices. Merchants set the number of participants required, discount tiers, and time limits. When enough people join a group, everyone gets the deal. This creates viral sharing and helps attract new customers organically.
Here's how it works:
1. Merchants create a group buying campaign for specific products
2. Customers see the offer and can initiate a group or join an existing one
3. They invite friends via social sharing (SMS, email, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.)
4. When the required number of people join, the group is complete
5. All members get the discounted price
There are two types:
Regular Group Buying: Any customer can participate, whether they are new or existing customers.
Old Brings New: All users can initiate group buying, but only new customers (those who haven't participated in a group buying activity before) can join and purchase. This is perfect for customer acquisition campaigns.
Unlike static discounts, group buying creates social engagement and urgency. Customers become your marketers by sharing with friends. It combines social proof, scarcity (time limits), and gamification (progress tracking) to drive higher conversion rates and organic customer acquisition.
Setup takes about 5 minutes. You'll install the app from the Shopify App Store, add the app block to your theme through the theme customizer, create your first campaign with our guided wizard, and you're ready to launch.
No technical skills required. The installation process includes step-by-step guided instructions with screenshots. You simply click install from the Shopify App Store, add the app block to your theme (we show you exactly where), and follow the setup wizard.
Yes, the app is fully compatible with both Shopify 2.0 themes. It also works with both classic and new Shopify customer account pages. Our theme extensions integrate seamlessly with your existing store design.
We provide multiple support options: live chat during business hours, email support with 24-hour response time, video tutorials showing each step, and a comprehensive knowledge base. Our team personally helps every new merchant get set up successfully.
Absolutely! You can build and preview campaigns on your store before launching them publicly, so you can see exactly how everything looks and works first. On the Free plan there is no monthly fee at all and commission is charged only on group buy revenue the app actually generates — so there's no cost until group buying is making you money.
Every plan is a monthly fee plus a commission on the group buy revenue the app generates for you. Commission is billed on group buy revenue only and is capped at $500/month.
• Free: $0/month + 4.2%
• Starter: $14.99/month + 2.5%
• Growth: $29.99/month + 1.9%
• Pro: $59.99/month + 1.4%
• Scale: $99/month + 1.0%
• Advanced: $149/month + 0.65%
• Premium: $199/month + 0.4%
• Enterprise: $299/month, no commission
A higher plan buys a lower commission rate, so the cheapest plan depends on how much group buying revenue you do. These are introductory launch prices — they rise as more stores join, and your rate locks in when you subscribe.
Yes. Free is a real, public plan — not a trial and not a promotion. It costs $0/month plus 4.2% of the group buy revenue the app generates, capped at $500/month. It includes every feature, has no time limit and no revenue limit. If the app never sells anything for you, you never pay anything. Most stores start on Free and move to a paid plan only when a lower commission rate would cost them less.
No — and you don't need one. Instead of a trial that expires, we have the Free plan: $0/month, every feature, no deadline. Trials were removed from every plan because the Free plan does the same job better. You install, build campaigns, launch them, and pay a commission only on revenue the app actually generates for you.
Every plan includes exactly the same features, Free included:
• Unlimited campaigns & bundle deals
• Full widget customization (colors, fonts, layouts)
• Regular and "Old Brings New" campaign types
• All social sharing (SMS, Email, WhatsApp, Social)
• Customer account integration
• Secure draft-order checkout
• Real-time analytics & reporting
• Live chat + email support
There is no feature gating of any kind. The only things that change between plans are the monthly fee and the commission rate.
No. You are never moved to another plan automatically. You choose your plan and stay on it until you change it yourself. The revenue figures on our pricing page are not thresholds, quotas or caps — they only show which plan works out cheapest at that level of group buy revenue. If your group buy revenue grows, your commission grows with it (up to the $500/month cap) while your fee stays exactly the same. When a lower-commission plan becomes the cheaper option, the pricing page inside the app tells you, and switching is your decision.
Nothing happens automatically — in either direction. Your monthly fee is unchanged and your commission simply falls with your group buy revenue, because it is a percentage of that revenue and nothing else. If your revenue drops for a while, you can move down to a cheaper plan, or all the way back to Free, yourself at any time from the pricing page in the app.
Group buy revenue is the total value of orders completed through group buying campaigns during a billing period, tracked automatically by the app. Only successfully completed group purchases count — if a group never reaches its minimum number of participants and the order is refunded, it does not count. Nothing else in your store is counted: ordinary sales, other discounts and other sales channels are never part of the calculation. Commission on that number is capped at $500 per billing period.
Yes. Every plan is month-to-month with no penalties and no cancellation fees. If you cancel mid-cycle you keep access until the end of your current billing period. You can also move down to the Free plan instead of cancelling — you keep your campaigns, settings and history, and your costs drop to $0 plus commission on whatever the app sells.
No — every plan bills monthly (on a 30-day cycle) through Shopify. The monthly fee is charged in advance and commission on group buy revenue is charged as it accrues, up to the $500 monthly cap. Monthly-only keeps things simple: you can change plan or drop back to Free whenever your revenue changes, without an annual commitment to unwind.
Payment is processed automatically through Shopify's billing system using the same payment method you have on file for your Shopify subscription. This includes credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods accepted by Shopify.
No. Commission applies only to revenue from orders created through group buying campaigns in the app. Regular sales, other promotions and other sales channels are never included. It is also capped at $500 per billing period, so no matter how large a month you have, commission cannot exceed that.
Yes, you have complete customization control including:

• Font families and sizes
• Button styles and shapes
• Layout templates
• Text and messaging
• Progress bar designs
• Social sharing button styles
Everything can be customized to match your brand perfectly.

Sharing is one-click easy, and we provide pre-written share messages that customers can customize.
Currently, each campaign supports a single discount target. You set one specific goal (e.g., 'Get 20% off when 5 people join'). We are working on adding multi-tier ladder pricing in a future update.
Customers can currently view group buying info in:
• Product detail pages (where they join/initiate)
• Order status page (group progress)
Yes, you have full control over group parameters:
• Minimum participants required (e.g., 5 people)
• Maximum participants allowed (e.g., 20 people)
• Time limits for group completion
• Which products are eligible
You set all the rules for each campaign.
You set expiration times for each campaign. If a group doesn't reach the minimum number of participants before the deadline, the group buying discount won't be applied. However, customers can still purchase at regular price, or you can configure what happens (cancel order, offer alternative discount, etc.).
For privacy reasons, we currently only display the total count of joined participants. No personal information (names, initials, etc.) is shown to other group members.
Yes! You can run unlimited simultaneous campaigns across different products. This is included in all plans. You might run one campaign for high-ticket items and another for accessories, each with different group sizes and discounts.
Yes, group buying works with products that have variants (size, color, etc.). Customers select their variant when joining a group, and the group buying discount applies to their chosen variant.
Yes, you have complete control over which products are eligible for group buying. You can select specific products, include entire collections, or exclude certain items you don't want to discount.
We are currently working on a dedicated analytics dashboard to provide deep insights into your group buying performance. This feature will be available in a future update. For now, you can track sales and orders through your standard Shopify reports.

No, data shows group buying generates incremental revenue rather than replacing existing sales. Most group buying purchases are from:
• New customers who wouldn't have purchased otherwise
• Existing customers buying additional items
• Larger order sizes due to group participation
The urgency and social elements create new buying motivations.
Group buying offers significant advantages:
• Lower customer acquisition cost (40% lower on average)
• Higher trust (referrals from friends vs ads)
• Better retention (socially connected customers)
• Viral multiplication (each customer brings 2-5 friends)
• Immediate ROI tracking
Many merchants reduce ad spend by 30-50% while maintaining or growing revenue.
Average completion rates are 60-75% for well-configured campaigns. Success factors include:
• Attractive discount (15-25% works best)
• Reasonable group size (5-10 people)
• Sufficient time limit (3-7 days)
• Clear communication
• Easy sharing options
We provide best practices to optimize your completion rates.
Most merchants see results within the first week:
• First campaign launched: Day 1-2
• First completed groups: Day 2-5
• Initial data and insights: Week 1
• Optimized performance: Week 2-4
The viral nature means results can compound quickly as more customers share.

Because there is a Free plan, you can run real campaigns at $0 before you ever pay us anything — so we don't run a separate money-back window. Subscription fees that have already been charged are non-refundable except where required by law (see our Terms of Service), and you can downgrade or cancel at any time to stop future charges. If you think a charge is wrong, email hi@farabiulder.com and we'll look at it case by case.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Install the app from Shopify App Store
2. Add the app block to your theme
3. Click 'Create Campaign' in the dashboard
4. Select your product(s)
5. Set your group size and discount tiers
6. Choose campaign duration
7. Customize design (optional)
8. Preview and launch
The whole process takes about 5 minutes with our guided wizard.
Based on best practices:
• Sweet spot: 15-25% off
• Minimum effective: 10% off
• Maximum recommended: 30% off
The discount should be attractive enough to motivate sharing but sustainable for your margins. Start with 15% and adjust based on results.
Recommended group sizes:
• Beginners: 3-5 people
• Experienced: 5-10 people
• Viral campaigns: 10+ people
Smaller groups fill faster but generate less viral reach. Larger groups create more sharing but take longer to complete. Start with 5-10 for best balance.
Optimal campaign durations:
• Short urgency: 24-48 hours
• Standard: 3-7 days
• Extended: 1-2 weeks
Shorter periods create more urgency but may not give groups enough time to fill. Most successful campaigns run 5-7 days.
We recommend starting with one best-selling product for your first campaign. This lets you:
• Learn the system
• Test messaging
• Gather initial data
• Optimize before scaling
Once you're comfortable, expand to multiple products and run concurrent campaigns.
Promotion strategies:
• Email your existing customers
• Post on social media
• Add banners to your homepage
• Include in abandoned cart emails
• Mention in product descriptions
• Use in influencer partnerships
• Feature in paid ads
The app handles sharing mechanics - you drive initial awareness.
Common solutions:
• Increase the discount amount
• Decrease minimum group size
• Extend campaign duration
• Improve initial promotion
• Make sharing easier/more prominent
• Add urgency messaging
• Test different products
Our support team can analyze your campaigns and provide specific recommendations.
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Verify the app block is enabled in theme customizer
2. Check that the product has an active campaign
3. Clear your browser cache
4. View in incognito/private mode
5. Check theme compatibility settings
If issues persist, contact support with screenshots for assistance.
We provide:
• Customer FAQ templates
• Pre-written messaging
• Explanation graphics
• Email templates
• Help documentation you can link to
Most customers understand the concept quickly - it's similar to group deals they've seen on other platforms.
Check these items:
• Was the group fully completed?
• Did they complete purchase before expiration?
• Check order details in Shopify
• Verify campaign settings were correct
The app automatically applies discounts when groups complete. If there's an issue, our support team can investigate and help resolve it.
